Eddie has been building these custom tables for a little while now and people seem to love them.

The client shares with us the measurements that will best fit their space.  He builds it and I paint it.  We're a good team.

This particular table was painted with a pretty shade of white, slightly distressed and sealed.  The top was stained with a special mix of Provincial and Jacobean.

We will be delivering it one day this week to it's forever home.  I Can't wait.

The wood grain turned out so pretty on this one.

T-Mobile becomes the third US carrier to push Android 9.0 Pie to the LG V30

Cache

Originally released back in the fall of 2017 with a then-powerful Snapdragon 835 processor on deck, as well as a beautiful 6-inch P-OLED screen sporting razor-thin bezels, the LG V30 might just be the best piece of mobile hardware you can buy nowadays for less than $250 on eBay in brand-new condition.

Unfortunately, the software hasn't been keeping up with the excellent hardware of the V30, but LG started to remedy that situation in Europe a few months ago, and one by one, major US carriers are following suit in delivering a relatively modern set of Android Pie goodies to the ...

LyondellBasell Morris participates in Global Care Day

Cache

As LyondellBasell marks two decades of service projects through its annual Global Care Day program, sustainability takes center stage on many of the global efforts.

About 5,000 employees, their families and other volunteers rolled up their sleeves to leave a positive impression in the communities where they operate, including the LyondellBasell Morris Plant.

Focusing on efforts to preserve and protect the environment, volunteers at the Morris Plant gathered Sept. 26 at Channahon State Park. Activities that took place included painting, building picnic tables, removing an old fence, installing a new fence, mulching and installing a bee hotel.

Other global projects include:

Rayong, Thailand

Employees, contractors and friends will collect garbage on Laem Chareon Beach in Rayong, Thailand. The cleanup effort is part of an educational campaign in waste management for employees.

Rotterdam, The Netherlands

Employees and volunteers in Rotterdam will spend time at Vroesenpark in Blijdorp, Rotterdam, where they will collect garbage, helping to revitalize a popular park.

Sinnar, India

With a goal of putting 400 trees in the ground, planting will occur on Vavala Mountain Gurudatta Trust and Janta Vidyalaya School. There will also be an educational piece to help showcase the value of giving back to the ecosystem by keeping the environment clean.

Corpus Christi, Texas

This team has a long to-do list, including constructing large bird housing for rehabilitation and cleaning up debris on the Port Aransas jetties and St. Joseph’s Island which is often overlooked in cleanup efforts because it is only accessible by boat. The staff will also assist in the release of a rehabilitated sea turtle.

“All of us should be committed as citizens, as companies and a society to truly making a difference and delivering on that commitment for future generations,” LyondellBasell senior vice president of Sustainability, Technology, Research and Development Jim Seward said in a news release. “I am proud of our continued efforts to think differently, reduce our environmental footprint and understand how our efforts can make a difference on a larger scale. Today was one part in the ongoing actions and conversations we are taking as a corporation,” Seward said.

Some of the larger sites – such as Wesseling, Germany, and Channelview, Texas – have organized multiple projects, and this was the first year for the former A. Schulman locations to take part.

In Akron, Ohio, volunteers will pick up litter and removed hazards along the popular Freedom Trail. In Houston, the company’s operations headquarter office shifted their Global Care Day efforts to focus on sustainability.

The team of about 300 volunteers will gather at Hermann Park together to plant, landscape and paint. More than 100 LyondellBasell locations gathered their resources and dedicated their time and energy for this year’s event.

Global Care Day began in 2000 as a volunteer-driven effort to encourage worldwide volunteerism in the communities where LyondellBasell operates.

On a cumulative basis, LyondellBasell mobilized about 33,600 volunteers who donated about 212,000 hours in support of their communities since the inception of Global Care Day.

LyondellBasell is one of the largest plastics, chemicals and refining companies in the world.
